Abstract:
The objective of this internship is to review and analyse the DG-BEM solvers proposed for time-harmonic problems in the perspective of high-performance parallel computing. The proposed work is decomposed into the following steps:
  • (i) Review the existing DG-BEMs for the time-harmonic wave equation, and compare with classical BEM strategies.
  • (ii) Implement and validate a DG-BEM from scratch in a Matlab code. Analyse and compare the accuracy by using others BEM codes developed in the POEMS team. High-order elements will be investigated.
  • (iii) Investigate the combination with modern algebraic techniques (such as H-matrices) and optimize the procedure for parallel computing.
